DERMATOLOGY MASTERCLASS WEBINAR
Dermatology Masterclass Day — a practical, high-yield course designed for Nurse Practitioners, ACPs, Pharmacists, Physician Associates, Paramedics and clinicians working in Urgent Treatment Centres, GP practices, walk-in centres and same-day access services.
Skin presentations are common, but they can be difficult to assess, describe and manage confidently. This masterclass will give you a clear, structured approach to dermatology, including:
-
How to take a focused dermatology history
-
How to examine and describe rashes and skin lesions
-
Red flags and when to escalate urgently
-
Safe triage: when to treat, refer or reassure
-
Common presentations including eczema, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, allergic rashes, fungal infections, shingles, hair loss and suspected skin cancer
-
Practical dermatology prescribing, including emollients, topical steroids, acne treatments, rosacea treatments and antifungals
-
How skin disease may present differently in skin of colour
This course is ideal for Nurse Practitioners, ACPs, Pharmacists, Physician Associates, Paramedics and other frontline clinicians who regularly assess skin problems and want to feel more confident in day-to-day practice.
The session will be led by Dr Varun Kumar, an NHS doctor with a Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology, an international and national dermatology speaker, and an experienced medical educator who has delivered talks to over 1,000 healthcare professionals. Dr Kumar is also involved in national educational work with the Society of Medicine Primary Care and has contributed to award-winning research focused on skin conditions in skin of colour and skin surgery.
His teaching is designed to be practical, visual and directly relevant to urgent and primary care clinicians — giving delegates a clear framework to assess, describe, prescribe for, triage and manage skin presentations safely.
